Our Favorite Platforms to Find a New Job
With the number of job sites, it is key to know as a job seeker what kinds of benefits different platforms offer. A high number of listings in one place gives you lots of possibilities to find the job listing that perfectly matches what you are looking for. But there are also many other valuable benefits that may be important to you when looking for a platform on which you can find a new job. Searching for a job is hard, so we hope this list of our five favorite platforms to find a new job helps you in your search for your dream job!
Indeed. Indeed has over 250 million unique visitors every month. These visitors come for the millions of jobs from thousands of company websites and other sources. 10 new job listings are added every second on Indeed, which gives you a wide range of possible job postings that fit your search criteria. Indeed is free for job seekers, as a job seeker you have free access to search for jobs, post your resumes, and research companies. When looking for a job, using specific search criteria, it is also possible to create a job alert. A job alert offers you the possibility to be notified by email when new jobs become available in your search criteria.
LinkedIn. 87% of recruiters use LinkedIn regularly. The platform has over 20 million open jobs. And just as Indeed, LinkedIn also has the option to get notifications when new jobs are listed that match your search criteria, which will help you save some of your precious time during your job search. LinkedIn launched a new tool as well to make it easier for job seekers to transition into a new field. ‘Career Explorer’ identifies careers for which an individual may be qualified for by looking at the skills of their previous jobs.
Monster. One of the most unique features of Monster is that it offers you the possibility to block certain companies from seeing your resume. Monster also has a page with numerous tips and tricks on different topics, such as tips for interviews and how to write a motivation letter.
Glassdoor. Glassdoor has over 9 million job listings. Glassdoor offers job seekers a lot of information such as open job listings, employer profiles, reviews from current and former employees and the responses of the employer, CEO approval ratings, salary rates, benefits information, and interview questions and information. Glassdoor helps you become informed and well-researched about the jobs and companies you consider applying to.
One thing all these four platforms have in common? They are all available as an app!
We hope this list helps you in your job search and that we have made something hard a little easier.
